COLLEGE FOOTBALL: National Signing Day commitments across the state

The college football programs across the state announced their Class of ’21 signings on National Signing Day earlier this week.

Here’s a rundown of the commitments that each program scored in this year’s recruiting circuit:

BYU: The Cougars announced 17 previously signed players will join 16 recruits from the December signing period. Several are returning missionaries. UTAH: The Utes added four transfers — quarterbacks Charlie Brewer (Baylor) and Ja’Quinden Jackson (Texas) plus running backs Chris Curry (Oklahoma) and TJ Pledger (LSU) — to a group of 18 early signees. UTAH STATE: The Aggies announced their first class under head coach Blake Anderson. The newcomers include five players signed in December — DL Johnson Hansen (East HS), DB Ike Larsen (Sky View HS), LB Sione Moa (Weber HS), DL Aurion Peoples (College of the Canyons, California), DL Seni Tuiaki (East HS). Wednesday’s additions feature a lot of transfers and include: QB Logan Bonner (Arkansas State), WR Brandon Bowling (Arkansas State), WR NyNy Davis (Etowah HS, Alabama), DE Byron Hobbs-Vaughns (Texas), Patrick Joyner Jr. (Miami), OL Maisen Knight (Liberty), DL Jahaziel Lee (Georgia Tech), DE Tupou Maile (Bingham HS), DB Kyle Mayberry (Kansas), LB Justin Rice (Arkansas State), TE Jackson Rigby (Davis HS), WR Otto Tia (Northridge HS), RB Calvin Tyler Jr. (Oregon State), OL Quazzel White (TCU).
