Utah Jazz announce Vegas Summer League squad, led by Azubuike

It remains to be seen if the Utah Jazz hit the jackpot in Las Vegas. They announced their roster for the NBA’s annual summer league, headlined by 2020 draftee Udoka Azubuike.

Utah opens play Monday (8 p.m., NBA TV) against the Phoenix Suns at the Thomas & Mack Center. On Wednesday, the Jazz take on Dallas (7 p.m., NBA TV) at the Cox Pavilion. They round out pre-playoff action against Miami Friday (3 p.m., ESPNU) and the Los Angeles Clippers Sunday (3 p.m., ESPN2). The postseason is set to begin Aug. 16.

The Jazz roster in Vegas includes Azubuike (Kansas), Jarrell Brantley (Charleston), Kyle Fogg (Arizona), Trent Forrest (Florida State), D.J. Funderburk (North Carolina State), Elijah Hughes (Syracuse), Jarrell Martin (LSU), Dakota Mathias (Purdue), Matt Mooney (Texas Tech), Juwan Morgan (Indiana), Malachi Richardson (Syracuse), Nate Sestina (Kentucky), MaCio Teague (Baylor) and Paul White (Oregon).

Several others with Jazz histories or Utah collegiate experience are also slated to participate in the summer league showcase. Players include:

— CLEVELAND: Trevor Bluiett (SLC Stars), Tre Scott (SLC Stars).

— GOLDEN STATE: Sedrick Barefield (Utah), Gary Payton II (SLCC).

— INDIANA: Tyrone Wallace (SLC Stars).

— L.A. LAKERS: Yoeli Childs (BYU).

— MEMPHIS: Sam Merrill (USU).

— MINNESOTA: Malcolm Miller (SLC Stars).

— PORTLAND: Emmanuel Mudiay (Jazz).

— SACRAMENTO: Marcus Graves (SLC Stars), Neemias Queta (Utah State).

— WASHINGTON: Justin Wright-Foreman (Stars/Jazz).
